So we are on night two of our Kara run, and fight our way swiftly to Aran. We proceed to trash him down till he's at 1% health... he then decides it is time to drink and sheeps us... all the while dots ticking away on him. So, half way through his refreshment break, he dies. Yay! you think... no, the door is still locked... since he died while drinking, it broke the script.

So, while waiting on the the support ticket, me and the other lock kill ourselves and then summon everyone outside using the meeting stone. We then all run back up through the back door and start our way towards the chess event. The GMs finally get back to us and tell us there is nothing they can do and that the spawns tied to Aran will likely repop... Arrrgh...

So we blow through the chess event and get to the Prince, only to die on two horrible sets of Infernal placements... and we have repops...

Didn't someone test this??? Arrrgh.

It is still DAMN funny...

So I'm completely torn on whether to continue with Destruction spec or go back to Affliction. I've been able to do comparable damage with my current Destruction build, maybe 5% or so less than my affliction build, but I've got much more +shadow than +fire gear. I'm enjoying Destruction, though aggro tends to be more of an issue when I'm critting for 5k+ on incinerate. When the patch comes out, I'm going to switch to Spellfire instead of Frozen Shadoweave for tailoring. It should give me a nice dps bump from what I currently have (and spellcloth sells better).

The biggest drawback with destruction that I've found is farming. I can go non-stop with 4+ mobs at a time with affliction, but can only do 1 at a time efficiently as destruction. And since I'll need to farm a ton of primal fire, I might need to go back to affliction in the short term...

Hmmm...

Okay, since I haven't posted to my LJ in like months, I've cleared everything out and I'm starting fresh. So, please excuse the bareness of the LJ and the oft-whacky formatting that will likely appear as I continue to mess with this :)
